Indre Both instantly fell in love with Charlotte when she moved here with her husband and three girls in 2012. She found a community that had a shared value in experiences and enjoyed creating a life well lived. The joy she found in watching her daughters grow and change in the new  environment pushed Both to find a photographer who could capture their everyday moments together.   However, Both and her husband faced challenges aligning busy photographer schedules with their own busy lives. Alternatively, the mass-producing photo companies felt like a compromise in the quality they wanted. Neither of these options provided an enjoyable and relaxed experience for them. “I knew we weren’t the only family struggling with this dilemma,” Both says. So, she set out to redefine the approachable, luxury photography experience, and opened her own studio – Little Nest. “I dreamed of a space that felt like home. Natural light pouring in and all the comforts of home – a coffee bar, self serve snacks for kids, and a play area with a reading nook. Our goal is for you to feel at home here.”

With endless inspiration from Instagram and Pinterest, it’s easy to feel buried under the pressure for a flawless photo shoot. Add to that the backlog of trapped images lying dormant in your smart phone instead of on your walls where they belong, Both has the perfect opportunity for her customers with the Heirloom Membership program. “I felt like families want to document the large milestones, but also have quality images of everyday moments. It seemed like a perfect program for our customers,” she explains. Customers can pay for a full year up front, or month to month, depending on what works for their families. With that membership, they’re invited to come to the studio as often as they’d like throughout the year to photograph everything from back-to-school season to everyday moments like losing a first tooth or documenting a favorite stuffed animal. For something more styled, customers can pop into the studio for sessions in front of handcrafted thematic backdrops – think showcasing a holiday outfit or staging a whimsical dress-up session for ballerinas and superheroes. “We never want to see your images just sit on your desktop,” Both says. “It’s our passion to get those onto walls and in your hands.”  By incorporating your own personal style, Little Nest can help you discover the best way to capture your memories. Their newest offering, StoryGram, films brief snippets from sessions throughout the year, creating a three-minute compilation video for a truly unique keepsake.
